Part 1 – Cameroon
Between March 6th and 17th, 2023, we organized two missions to Africa to continue some projects we are doing there.
From March 6th to 12th, our technicians visited the Mesok area, south of Cameroon. Two concomitant agricultural areas were inspected, the first area of 600ha and the second of 1001ha, where we will develop an Agroindustrial Project.
In the region there is a planted area of 27 hectares of pineapple where our goal is to expand the development and verticalization of the pineapple production chain, in addition to processing the fruit with a mix of products and concentrated juices from it.
Our technicians also visited the initial construction of the Dairy Cattle Project and probable area for industrialization of the product. Our intention is to speed up the process of genetic improvement of the herd and increase the number of animals in the daily milking. This goal leads us to the Dairy Project to produce a mix of products: cheese, dairy and butter.
The possibility of a goat herd for the production of milk and dairy products was also included.
On the property there is also the beginning of the construction of excavated tanks to host the fish farming project. The Project includes the production of Carp and African Catfish, including the production of Tilapia fingerlings.
In the project, it was possible to observe areas suitable for the cultivation of Soybeans, Corn (Silage and grains), Sorghum and others to complement the animals’ feed.
